I always thought the xbox had copied hardware and most parts of the dreamcast controllers.
but i cant find an article about it.

Sega was involved in the develpoment of the Xbox. The resemblences of Xbox to DC are not coincidental. Sega was even involved in the creation of XBL.

I Always think that the XBOX 1 is the other Dreamcast project.

Do you remember? There was two DC projects. One american, other japanese. The japanese one become the Dreamcast.

I supose that the american one was bought by Microsoft. Because I do not remember any news about console development by MS. Also the control is pretty much the same. Windows support. Games ported...

And SEGA was almost broken back then.

No, Microsoft did not use the other design, they took features they learned from Sega on the Dreamcast and incorporated it into their own much more powerful system. They system you are talking about was being developed here in Texas and was a dead end design.

this is exactly why I think sega should come up with a new console, they've been making games for all the other systems for a decade now & by now they should know what each console is ( and specially ISN'T) capable off. this should give em an edge

Yeah, sleeping with the enemy for a decade SHOULD give them an upper hand, I say should.

Lets wait until they can consistently make quality games first. Sonic 4 was a good start. Lets see what they do with this PSO 2 hype.
