Yeah i dont really see the point of that device? Or is that something that you actually plug to a computer? If thats the case, it could be handy for developing stuff for the vmu. But if its to be plugged to a dreamcast, i dont see the point or use to plug just a vmu to the dreamcast..

No, this thing is for modding. From what I heard, this thing can be used to connect other controllers to the Dreamcast by connecting the right wires to this PCB.
At least that's what I think, if someone knows for sure, please correct me.. This thing has a lot of potential, maybe someone can make a wireless DC controller with this... The 4m cable would be kind of a problem though.
EDIT: Now I know where I remember this from, the X-Arcade to Dreamcast adapter uses the same kind of technology. The only difference is the lack of VMU support and soldering instead of them... screws you can see in the pic.

It MUST be for the X-Arcade sticks. Gotta be it.

Since the dreamcast is still in demand for many 2D fighters and shmups, these custom dreamcast pcbs can be used to build your own custom arcade sticks.
The best dreamcast pcb to use for building an arcade stick is the madkatz dream pad since it has all digital buttons and easy soldering points. The problem is that you have to know how to solder the wires correctly and how to solder the vmu inside of the stick without it coming loose when you travel. This new pcb resolves these obstacles since you wrap the wires around pins and you just plug in the vmu into the adapter.
On paper, it sounds like a great product!
Edit: Here is the pdf announcement of the custom pcb:

Yup. This PCB is for an arcade stick to Dreamcast and this one is cheaper than Dreamcast arcade stick. Haden´t I bought two Dreamcast sticks for long time ago, I had bought these.
It´s for ppl that don´t want to do pad hacks.

I also have several dreamcast arcade sticks, but I am considering buying a couple of these to build a dreamcast arcade cabinet.
