Oh my God ya! Shenmue is the best on Dreamcast!

Quake III Arena

Shenmue is great and has some classic 8-bit Sega arcade games in it as optionally playable mini-games.

Spawn in demons hand is a very fun game if your a spawn fan... but after you unlock all the characters (two are a bitch due to having to farm items - unlocking them is related to how often you pick up an item in an arena), the game is basically boring and done.

Its meant to be a multiplayer game, but noone in this day and age really wants to sit down and learn the learning curve to play this game with me, especially since i've had it for ageS, and there are better multiplayer alternatives.


It really depends on what peripherals you won.

If you have a gun, & your not using a HDTV (you use an old CRT TV), then House of the Dead 2 is a must. But currently you can buy the wii House of the Dead 2 + 3 for about the same price.


If you have the big $ to spring for a bba, then PSO is a must so you can play online here with us.


If your wanting multiplayer friendly games, then Bomberman Online is, out of the dozen + bomberman games I own, my favorite. Its cell shaded and entirly built around the classic arena setup.

Chu Chu Rocket is also a very good sit-down multiplayer game. Other obvious titles like Quake and Unreal Tournament might appeal to you, but your not going to easily get friends to play with you.



I'd stick with console exclusives - games you won't find anywhere else.

Alien Front Online, Shenmue, Jet Grind Radio, & Sea Man are all worthy purchases.

Just be aware that a lot of games have already been ported over to newer systems. As noted with house of the dead, Crazy Taxi (a personal favorite) has a 3rd title released on the original xbox, which plays on the 360. This 3rd game actually has the citys from the first & second game included, with all the characters & challenges - basically including them.

Some games are available to download, like Sonic Adventure on xbox live.

Some of the very hard to find & expensive dreamcast games, like Ikaruga (an easy $100 on dreamcast), have also been made on other consoles (gamecube = $20).


If you like shoot em ups, then there is a great library on the dreamcast thats worth looking into.

OKAY next thing i wanna talk about,

has anyone every played fire pro wrestling d on the dreamcast!!??

I've played Fire Pro Wrestling D briefly, but I couldn't figure out how to get a hit in. It's probably good if you know how to play, but I wasn't patient enough to find out . I can, however, tell you that it comes with a shiny trading card and a manual so thick that the box is slightly wider than normal.
