Well, I recently got an S-Video cable, and I just pulled it out of the box a few minutes ago and to my surprise, it had ALL of the pins at the connector! The normal RCA cable only comes with the three pins, this one comes with all of them.

Before I try this and open it up, I'd like to know if anyone's tried this before.

It is Sumo brand S-Video Cable.

I've got some bad news, the cable fell apart literally, the whole front metal piece fell right out. It was bough brand new and its Sumo brand.

Sorry, was it just the metal shell/grounding thing?

Can you still run a multi-meter over the pins and see what leads to what?
