Something I've nearly finished!

Not the greatest ever made but certainly a start!

My Dreamcast portable - currently unfinished, still runs off mains power but the voltage regulaters have been ordered and should be through post soon. I then may altar the screen's casing to match the Dreamcast's profile (like a Tramcast).

Works great - was playing Shenmue 2 on it last night while my girlfriend was watching a film

Comments welcome!

I'm currently working on a SEGA sticker to cover up that cr@ppy Sony logo ;)

Whoa, nice :) You are right, it looks almost like Treamcast ;) how much of work it took from your life? And it's hard to make something like this?

It's fairly hard - just detailed soldering work. (and alot of planning researching etc)

If I was to make another (which I probably will :D ) I could do it abit quicker than this one - takes a few hours.

did u or are you going to replace the backlighting with LEDS? that not only minimizes the power the screen uses but in most cases can make it a little brighter.

I've heard of this being done and am thinking about it - more battery time would be great. With the battery set up I'll be using I'm thinking I'll get about 3 hours play time at best. (most like 2 hours 45 minutes).

Good news today though as most of the bit's I've been waiting for have turned up! The pproject continues! 8-)

That how to LED mod it. The whole guide is about building a portable system.
