You know, its funny you posted this. My friends and I were talking about them porting DOD and making a singleplayer botfest game like Counter-Strike DC is. Dreammatrix already ported most the assets to DC from PC for me.
He was going to port the Half-Life PC mod, Operations1942, and the only problem was that the maps textures needed to be seperated from the .bsp's and he needed the .map and wad files from the developers in order to port the full mod. Think of it like the SDK for the mod would be needed in order to port everything over to DC .PVR texture format.

Don't worry, many many tools and things exsist for a project like this to work, but we would need a custom map set made from scratch, and then convert it over to pvr format and make a cdi of the files on DC ant test it out.
Operations 1942 uses Day of Defeat characters, assets, weapons and sounds. Dreammatrix already did a prelimanary port of the files, so all you or somebody else need to do were make some good maps for us.
We can get a great WW2 FPS on dreamcast like COD or MOH, but we just gotta make it from scratch in the Half-Life engine.
If you want to see what Dreammatrix already ported over for me, download this ISO on this thread.

Don't be too dissappointed though, only the single training tutorial map works now, and I could never figure how to advance to the next room. Maybe you will have better luck with it.
Here is the Moddb page of the original PC mod for Half-Life.

Who knows, maybe we can get a good mapper and story writter to think of a good adventure for us?
