While going through my electronics I came across a pci capture card. I plan on using it to record Dreamcast game play.

I've setup it up, but when using it there is a delay in whats happening and whats being displayed on my pc screen.

I was wondering how others do it.

Thank you

Man I remember using a capture card back in the day to play Dreamcast on my old computer before I had a VGA adapter and before emulating the Dreamcast on a computer was anywhere close to possible. But I wasn't trying to capture it, just play it on my monitor because I had no TV in my room. I don't remember any issues with delay that made the games unplayable. Maybe it depends on the card or the software. Try checking to see if the software is applying any filtering to the captured images before it displays them.. That could certainly add delay to the video being displayed...

You need to get an a/v distributor or splitter and send one output to your tv and another to your capture card.

I think it depends on your hardware. You should have to splitter. This could let you use the TV screen and the card.

I remember going heavily into all the information I needed before I bought my Dazzle.

The signal is going to transmit from the source (in this case your console) and into both the TV and Capture card.

There are plenty of setup tutorials on Youtube.
