recently bought a dreamcast from a friend that's been sitting in his dirty dusty garage for 5 years. after a hour or so of cleaning it boots up but doesn't read gd-roms. after some pot adjustment it will read audio cd's but that's as far as the little guy will go. im starting to think that the inside laser has dust and crap in it and just needs some alchowhipe lovin' but after inspection it looks like its going to be a real bitch to get in there and accomplish such a task (unlike a ps2's laser as seen here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Fx404bcu-s)
anyone ever done this with a dreamcast? if so any tips? am i commiting gd-rom suicide? am i rambling on too long?
any help would be very appreciated.

Re: GD-ROM DEEP LASER CLEANING QUESTIONS.
Look at it this way: If it's not working now, you can't make it worse.
I'd try some computer duster spray in there if you don't have an air compressor at home already. I don't think there is any other good way to get all the gunk that might be surrounding the laser out of there.
