Unreal Tournament

So any news is anyone still working on trying to make a private server work for this game? Or can we some how petition Game Spy to restart their servers? =) I loved playing my QIIIA right into the dark nights of the dreamcast long past demise. I still enjoy it over so many games and I'm one of those freaks that prefers the DC remote. Even though I know it puts me at a disadvantage I just prefer the control. Anyways back on topic... I miss UT for the DC I never even got to play it online because I didn't have dial-up and by the time I got my BBA Game Spy had already stopped hosting DC UT. ; (

Definitely would be nice to be able to play it online. Although, it's not the best version of the game with the framrate issues and all. Doesn't really make sense that Gamespy still hosts Q3A but not UT.

GameSpy doesn't host Quake III Arena for the Dreamcast.

With Quake III Arena, anyone can host a server for the Dreamcast, its cross platform.

Yup, you're right. I was thinking of Starlancer.

Starlancer is also cross platform as far as I am aware, it was released on PC etc.

Regarding Unreal Tournament, can anyone remember if the PAL version had online or were we shafted like with so many other titles that came to DC such as Outtrigger (released in PAL but no online) AFO, Bomberman Online, Ooga Booga (all Never released)? I assume IF (BIG IF) someone could get Unreal back up for DC would I have to get the US version of the game? I am pleased to announce that my BBA arrived today so I should be back online tonight with my DC for the first time in years! PSO HERE I COME!!!

I played Unreal again the other day for the first time in years and the controls are pretty awesome actually, I seem to have forgotten how accurate the whole WASD layout on the ABXY buttons could be, I also used to play with that layout on QIIIA and its really intuitive, shame that the pal version of Unreal only had pisspot offline tourneys versus CPU's and split screen multi, would've been the nuts online, I think I'd be really happy with a new FPS now having remembered how good the controls were lol
