The next Dreamcast Live competition has started! Here are the details:

Soul Survivor

Survive to win!

Whoever survives the most battles in survival mode wins. Game must be played on normal difficulty or higher.

Achievements for this competition:

Soul Survivor - Win a Soul Calibur competition
I Will Survive! - Survive 20 rounds in survival mode
Dominating! - Survive 50 rounds in survival mode
The Soul Still Burns - Survive 100 rounds in survival mode

If you would like to enter, please submit the following information:

A screenshot or video of your score

If you are don't have a player profile page:
Your top 3 Dreamcast games.
"Live Games" that you own (Listed under "Games" on the site)
An avatar you would like to use.

You may submit as many entries as you like for 7 days when the competition will close. There is a countdown timer on the website to show exactly how much time is left.

Update:

The competition has been extended a couple more days. You have until August 1st @ 12:00PM EST to submit your score.

I'm not playing this time, I stink at this game, can't even finish it on normal mode. I love watching others play though.

So far my best is 42, i'll post my poc shortly, i keep getting knocked out of the ring when i get close to my highest score, bloody irritating! Love this game soooo much, i can only play it on ultra hard, its too easy otherwise

In a few hours i'll give it a try, this time i won't use inferno as the randomness may be fun but it's not great in some battles.

Also, difficulty is irrelevant as survival increases difficulty from easy to ultra hard.
But if it matters i was on very hard

Yeah the difficulty doesnt effect survival mode, i'm gonna give it another try in a min

Just beat my best, got punked by Cervantes in the 50th round, pretty hopeful I'll be able to get it up to 60 odd just have to concentrate a bit more lol, the pig about this mode is that you CANNOT PAUSE it, so you have to settle in for the long haul

That puts you in 2nd. So close to the Dominating! (50 rounds) achievement! Keep working on it.
