Lernout & Hauspie, everybody in the world knows em, they're from belgium (as am I), they went broke & went to jail. what I didn't know however is that they are behind the speech recognition in Seaman. halfway down the article

The awesome 'The Path' was a completely Belgian offering, whilst we're clutching at straws. I've got nothing else, sorry. Now, if this was discussion on who really invented the French Fry, then we'd be in business. Mind, Belgian Fry doesn't really have the same flow to it, does it?

actuall, they were invented in belgium, only in the french speaking part (we're like canada, half of the country doesn't understand the other). hence "french" fries
