The next Dreamcast Live competition has started! Here are the details:

Hydro Thunder

Be the fastest! Be victorious!

Rules:

Goal: Get the fastest time.

Track: Thunder Park

Boat: You must choose a boat from either the Easy or Medium class.

Achievements for this competition:

Hydro Victory - Win a Hydro Thunder competition
Keeping Up (TP) - Get a time of 1:50 or better on Thunder Park
Eat My Water! (TP) - Get a time of 1:45 or better on Thunder Park
Thunderous! (TP) - Get a time of 1:40 or better on Thunder Park

If you would like to enter, please submit the following information:

A screenshot or video of your score

If you are don't have a player profile page:
Your top 3 Dreamcast games.
"Live Games" that you own (Listed under "Games" on the site)
An avatar you would like to use.

You may submit as many entries as you like for 7 days when the competition will close. There is a countdown timer on the website to show exactly how much time is left.

Want to unlock the Medium boats? Here's how:

Start a new game and race one of the Beginner tracks. You must place well enough to enter your initials in to the high score listing. Enter:

?PB

You will unlock every track and every boat.

I'm definitely no pro at this game so I'm sure some of you can easily beat it.

I'll give it a shot later, but I haven't played this game in years & wasn't too good at it to begin with

Tidal Blade. One of the Medium boats. I probably should specify. I didn't know there was a difference other than looks. I'll edit the rules, must use a boat from Easy or Medium.

isn't it better to just use the easy boats (damn the torpedoes, midway & miss behave)? not that I care, but otherwise folks have to unlock the rest before they can actually join the contest
