I seem to be cursed to forever have problems with PSO. Here's my latest issue. I was just online playing PSO when a message came up saying "The Line Has Been Disconnected". I press A and it exits out and goes to the save screen where it says "The memory card where the save file was located has been removed" or something like that. So I selected "don't save". I boot up the game again and click "Continue" from the main menu. It goes to the load screen and it would not load my save. It just kept saying "Press A to reload". I kept pressing it but no luck. I checked the VMU with in the main DC menu and it shows my save files so I know they are there. It just won't load them. It's acting like I'm trying to load the save from a Dreamcast other than the one I created the character on. I know this because I have a save from another Dreamcast that I tried to load and it does the same thing. I do hope someone can help me with this. I really don't want to have to remake my character for a third time.

"Press A to reload" seems to be the tipical PSO v2 pal message.

hmm.....i have no idea, were you sure that your vmu was correctly plugged in? because saying that the save file wasn't on the memory card implies that you either used another memory card or that the vmu wasn't there.
I have no teories on this at all, i don't know why would the game "change" the save file before saving.

Corruption is a possibility but i don't know why would that happen, maybe bluecrab has an idea.

Assuming you saved your char on another memory card or on the server, just reload that save state and continue playing

I tried copying the save to another VMU (I was actually using a Performance Mega Memory Card) but no luck. It does the same thing. Unfortunately I did not make a backup. I had planned on it but I needed to unlock the save in order to copy it and the VMU Tool that I usually use doesn't work with the Performance memory card. I wanted to try and copy it to an SD card using Dreamshell but never got around to it. That's what I ended up using when I wanted to try the save from anther VMU.

After doing a few Google searches I've come to the conclusion, as much as I hate to say it, that the save is corrupted. I guess I'll just have to start over again. Since I have lost everything this time I would really appreciate it if you could restore some of my items for me KIREEK. These are the things I can think of:

approx. 380,000 Meseta
Draw Mechgun +14
10x Star Atomizers
10x Dimate

I'll update the list if I think of anything else. I won't be starting a new character till I get my new copy of PSO that I ordered. It should be here Monday. I'll let you know and set up a time to meet. Thanks

My youtube video can help you make a backup with no problems, as an extra backup, saving on the server is also a possibility, since guild card on sylverant is unique, no one will be able to use the save stored but you.
