How do you take out the watch battery in the Dreamcast? For some reason, that watch battery doesn't want to budge. Any ideas?

Its because those tabs that hold the battery are apart of the battery.

Replacing the battery requires soldering skills. don't try to pry the tabs off the battery you could damage the traces on the board. You have to unsolder the battery from the board itself and lift the battery and its tabs off the board.

Yeah, you should desolder that mate, the way to go.
Another way to get the old one out is to use some strong scissors or an appropriate steel cutter, and carefully cut if you have room.

You still need to solder imo to get a new battery connected proper.
