Christmas and Dreamcast are synonymous in my world. I think it stems from the excitement of Christmas 1999, the day that many people including myself first had their taste of the white box of wonder. Ahhh, I like what I just said there ! I'm such a sucker for christmas lol

Anyway, I like keep this theme going every year so I was thinking of having some suitable, preferably xmas orientated, games playing over the festive period. It wont be easy seperating the kids from their 3DS's, 360's, Ps3's and PSP's, but I'm going to try anyway

Now Shenmue comes to mind straight away. Who can forget running past the Tomato Convenience Store in Dobuita whilst it's snowing and bumping into Santa ! I thought it a bit strange that the japanese in 1986 would have a westernised santa roaming the streets but whatever........

Then there's The Grinch. I never hear much said about this game but I liked the original story so I think I'll definitely get this out for the kids.

The only other game I can think of is PSO, but that's only really the online part so that's not really an option......

If anyone can think of anything suitable either obviously or not then please post your suggestions here.

Well, there are two possible reasons why he may have suggested that game.

1. Blue Stinger + Christmas = Blue Christmas!



or

2. Because of the fact that the game's story takes place on Christmas Eve and there is a whole Christmas theme and music.

blue stinger was one of the first games to come out, ànd its christmas themed

Wow, that's awesome ! I'll be dusting down my copy.......hope I've still got it, I mostly tend to play the second game. Does it apply to the second game ?

Haha No doubt my dad will be listening to that this xmas. Myself, I'll be hoping to find some headphones in my stocking

I should have known that about the game, I played it years ago and really enjoyed it but can't remember much about it. Yeah, now I think about it, it's a really good choice to play this christmas. I needed an excuse to play it again after all these years !

Oh yeah, wasn't it a US/Pal launch game ?

I know it was one of the Dreamcasts best selling adventure games, sold ~ 750,000 I think. It didn't get that well reviewed at the time but I thought it was a blast to play.

I've been thinking........lol.......D2 was very much themed on the new year, specifically the new millenium celebrations. And it's full of snow, which is always a good thing in games I reckon

Shit, I totally forgot about that demo pcwzrd ! Sadly I no longer have any of the official demo discs If I can find that on Ebay in the next few days, I'll snap it up.
