I agree...
Funny thing was that on december 25th in real life it was december 25th in-game also.
Same for New Year's Eve...
Couldn't have chosen a better time to play this game... ^^

Haha

As if Shenmue wasn't scarily true to life enough already
I played Shenmue 1 & 2 last year and it was just as good as when I played it the first time although the experience
had altered. I noticed details in the game which had previously passed me by and it was almost as if I was playing a different game. Still unrivalled, still an epic game.
I played The Grinch over the last week or so. Ok, so it's not Shenmue !! Not terrible though and I sort of would recommend it if you're stuck for something to do next christmas.

I beat Shenmue 2 (for like the tenth time) the other day. Funny, I hadn't played it in a few years and for some reason I thought the game ended with a dragon coming out of a mountain and flying past. I remember thinking that it was sort of weird for such a realistic game to end that way. Fortunately I was completely wrong
I also started Soul Calibur back up and unlocked everything if that counts as a beaten game and I think I'm close to beating E.G.G. and about halfway through Starlancer. I plan on beating Blue Stinger, MSR, and Evolution and eventually finishing Skies of Arcadia (S-Video hurts my eyes so badly though) in the coming months. It has been a great new year for the Dreamcast.

I'm working my way through Test Drive Le Mans and Vanishing Point. Unlocking new stuff. I'll probably get most of the way through these in the next few months.
I've been playing MSR from the beginning (for the first time) but it's so relentlessly difficult! Honestly, I'm really good at most racing games, but it's taken all my skill just to get to the third chapter, and now (just in the third chapter) I'm not able to break 100 kudos on most of the challenges despite not really doing anything too terribly wrong! I'm never going to be able to get through all 23 chapters!

Beat Jet Grind Radio again.
I have been playing various fighters casually. Soul Calibur, Dead or Alive 2, Project Justice. Project Justice is ironically why I got into the scene but I had never played it.
Way back in high school my Anime club played the game (though I never got to play >.>) and after I found out it was played via CD-R, I never looked back.
That being said I already had a nearly irrational love for the Dreamcast before I got involved with the scene.

Have just managed to fully completed Vanishing Point and unlock everything. I've also managed to tame a few of the faster cars so they handle more consistency (see videos on my blog page). Hopefully I can write a review at some point.

rjay, I checked out your blog/videos. It takes a while to complete it 100% doesn't it ! BTW Those are two of my favourite courses in Vanishing point and that is probably the best I've seen them driven ! lol Seems like you didn't really like it to start with......but maybe you fell for it in the end ? Whatever, look forward to your review.
Seeing the game there just reminds me that, however you view the rest of the game, the beauty of it shines through.

I will look forward to that Vanishing Point review (both written and in video if possible)!
Just completed Looney Tunes Space Race. Such a charming and delightfully "Looney" game

Melbourne House was on fire during the Dreamast period!
