Dreamcast S Video compatability

I have a VGA box and am very happy with it except that I have a ton of games that are simply incompatible with it. Rather than go back to the normal tv cables, is there a chance that these games would work via S video? I'm thinking mostly of capcom and SNK 2d fighters, Airforce Delta, etc.

All Dreamcast games work via S-Video, that's assuming you have the correct cable of course.
Most VGA boxes have an S-Video socket. Failing that use a standard Dreamcast S-Video cable.
Something like this which has both composite and s-video connections:

Here's one in the US:

Another in Canada:

there's no 'ton' of games that don't work, there's like 20 or maybe 30 & half of those are shitty ones

But mayu's right, the vast majority of games are fine.

Well, even though some are indeed crappy, I haven't bothered to play any of them for years since they don't work with my VGA setup. Which makes me want to play them again
I've got: Marvel vs. Capcom, Last Blade 2, King of Fighters 99, Jo Jo's Bizarre Adventure, Plasma Sword, Airforce Delta, Mortal Kombat Gold, and a few more I can't remember off the top of my head. That's 7 there, and I've probably got about 10 or so. Out of a 40 or 50 game collection it feels like a "ton" to me
I got the info I wanted though, which is that all games work via S video, and that it is not like the VGA box where some games are incompatible.

Oh and I believe Jojo's JPN "For Matching Service" version is VGA compatible. Hope that turns your "Ton" into a "Few"

^Well, they don't boot with my VGA box and the message pops up saying the game won't work with the AV cables plugged into the system when I try to play on vga.
