So far I'm thinking FUCK YES. Wow! I just saw a video of the game by chance while browsing Dreamcast stuff on youtube and it looks so beautifully old school. I get a UT meets Serious Sam vibe . Anyways, I'm thrilled right now because I thought I was out of games that I really wanted to find for the DC and I'm even more thrilled because somewhere way back I got the idea in my head that Psycho Circus was some crap racing game, I was terribly wrong! I can't stomach reviews from the DC period but just looking at the scores the consensus seems to be: It sucks. I'm still optimistic though and would love to hear peoples thoughts

Do you like Kiss? If so then you should buy it. I'm not a big fan of Kiss so I don't think I will ever buy it.

I personally like it, but the dark environment gives me a head ache.Also some times there like 8 or more enemies on screen and that makes for some fun action.the music is kinda forgettable though.

Hmmm, are the weapons and enemies cool? It looked like it had some pretty cool ideas but I'm not a KISS fan by any means

You dont need to be a kiss fan, maybe Iam remembering wrong but theres barely any kiss music in it.As a first person shoot you could say its alot like quake 3 but with much longer levels that may have simple puzzles.The weapons in my opinion are nice but I wouldnt call the enemies cool.They seem to have tried to make them look horrifying and twisted but come out looking funnylol. Its also nice that there could be alot of enemies on screen, which is some thing you dont see much on the dc.Despite being a windows ce game it runs really smooth(like most later windows ce games.)

I played Kiss a month or two back and I thought it was well worth playing. There's no doubt it's old skool, but don't let that put you off. It has pretty respectable graphics, some cool weapons, decent music and a style that was all the rage back in the 1990's ie Dark and gothic. If you grew up playing Doom, Quake, Hexen and Heretic etc then you'll feel right at home.

Ok, I'll admit KISS the band never lit my wick......I'd say the game is way more my thing though lol

edit: I think there's a port of Heretic and maybe Hexen along with Doom and Quake on DC - so check them out. Some games work fine, though others need fixing.

I am a big fps fan, and an even bigger dreamcast fan, and I still thought the game sucked. even if you are a fan of kiss (I'm not) i'd suggest staying away from this. Unless frustration is your thing, stay away from this game. The controls are bad. Very bad. The story of the game will make you want to stop playing. If for some reason you can tolerate the awful controls and garbage story, it will be the repetition that eventually makes you put this game down.. I think there is only two or three different enemies in the game.

If you are really that curious, try the iso first. Do not buy this game. I was curious enough to drop 6 dollars on it. I regret doing that

Haha fair enough, maybe I'll try it first . I LOVE doom and hexen so hopefully it will be my thing but since shipping costs a decent bit I might as well check for myself first.

It wasn't that bad !! I think you've just got very high standards

It is a by-the-numbers fps and, compared to modern day games, is very basic, but I think it still compares favourably with other shooters from that era. I've played a ton of fps worse than KISS

Thats the vibe I got from watching a video of it. I've grown up with Doom, Serious Sam, Quake, UT, Heretic/Hexen and the rest but it seems that when it comes to old school fps's people just port those over and over again. I would love to see something new (for me at least) of that style even if it isn't perfect.
