Is there anywhere to get the DC serial number besides the sticker on the bottom?

It's likely on the box somewhere.

Box!? If remember correctly, in certain the serial is also found in the package of pamphlets and paperwork that comes with the console. Regardless, majority of these alternative ways suggested bare no friut if the console was purchased preowned (its very likely to purchase used DC's in CIB state)

What kind of pamphlets did the Dreamcast come with, anyway? Mine didn't come with any other than the manual and warranty card, and it was brand new. Maybe the European systems had pamphlets?

I'm talking about US so I can't vouch for EU. I recall getting like a tip line paper, Console manual, DC mag subscription card, and I believe a warranty card where the console serial number sicker is also placed. I gotta go to my folks place and double check this.

Well here it is. When you purchased a DC, you usually got this registration card that has the exact same serial sticker that is also on the actual console unit.

Are you sure they all came with that? I've actually never seen that before. I got my late-model Dreamcast brand new and it didn't have anything like that.

Def not all of them. I'm sure SEGA at some point sega began registering their console in this manner. As you can see the this lil pamphlet has the same sticker that is placed underneath the console.

I took this one from a White Dreamcast console sports bundle edition. I also got these from some of my Model 1 units that was purchased in box.
