So I came across a dreamcast game for sale that I had never heard of. Brand new, it was selling for 10 dollars. Dragon Riders...

So, I consulted the tablet. I see IGN gave it a 3.6/10, rating it "Awful"

This has to be the worst score I've ever seen on a review. Can it be possible?

Anyone played this? Opinions? Is it really "Awful"

I think I made a vid of it once, its not for everyone, but enjoyable if you're into the genre. its not a bad game overall, only the battles are a bit silly, but there aren't so many, this game is based on exploring & solving problems. eg: you need item A but to get it from someone you need to bring him item B & to get that you need to solve a theft and so on...

I'm not gonna bullshit you and say that Dragon Riders is the greatest game ever made, as it has many flaws that would turn many gamers off it for good. But if, like me, you are able to see past the imperfections, then you'll find the game to be a worthwhile investment. It has a good story, very good graphics and a variety of gameplay styles which just about carry the game through it's faults. Remember the toing and froing in Shenmue 2 ? This game is FULL of it(sic) ! It also has puzzles, mini-games, exploration and, like Mayu says, terrible combat. The combat is the major weakness in the game.

If you have lots of patience, a broadminded disposition, and enjoy a good story, then I think you'll enjoy it.......but if you haven't, you'll HATE it ! Me ? I like it a lot ! But then, if shovelling shit was turned into a DC game, then I'd probably like that too.
