Personally I would be really stoked for this if it were true

not sure how accurate it will turn out to be but for me, Sonic Adventure 1 was pretty awesome, I never completed 2 but it was also an excellent game.
I know everyone dreads Sonic 3d games lately but Sonic Colours was the BEST Sonic 3d game of the past 10 years, its not just good by Sonic 3d game standards, its an all round excellent game, I can't wait for (if it ever happens) Sonic Colours 2, and the people behind that should definitely work on all future Sonic 3d titles
what do you guys think?

Interesting. Of course, it'll only be faithful if it mimics the original SA engines, instead of using the modern gameplay style. I'm a bit disturbed by the part about them licensing it out though.
I think the recent Sonic alienation is pretty much over, what with Sonic Colours and the successive release of Sonic Generations.

yeah I'd like to play generations, its supposed to be good, Colours was fantastic IMO, I don't think they will have to use the same engine or similar, as long as they use whatever techniques they implemented to make the 2 we mentioned so great it should be fine

If it doesn't mimic the engine of the first two, then what's the point in the first place? At that rate, it's just a question of what title the game bears. It might as well be called something else. For it to be called SA3, it has to be based off of a different engine, otherwise there's no purpose.

well what I meant was the graphics and pyhsics more than anything, I mean yeah ok they can try to make it as similar as possible but to be honest, all the subsequent sonic games in 3d had similar styles, ie 3rd person behind the character, but ok I get what you mean, I just think the people behind Sonic Colours should helm it as they did such a good job
