In case anyone's noticed, I have been on a bit of a hiatus lately, what with school starting up again and all. That said, I'm not going to miss this competition, especially after harassing pcwzrd to include this game on the polls.

How come we're playing with the Grasshopper anyway? It's pretty slow. Anyway, I couldn't quite manage the 45 second achievement, even with manual transmission. Maybe rjay can pull it off.

Cool. As much as I liked the arcade game, I shamefully haven't given this DC version much playtime. And it's taking some getting used to...(not that I was great at the arcade either)... 47.046

Yeah, that was a bit of a compromise since I picked an "Advanced" track. I purposefully picked a slower car to make it a bit easier for any newbies that want to participate, like myself .

OK here's my best attempt so far:

Medium-Hard Tires/Manual Transmission

Can't say I've had that much experience with this car. I've checked the old Japanese Dricas ranking and no Grasshopper times are available to compare. Unfortunately the US Dricas ranking is riddled with Action Replay/Gameshark times and the EU ranking is gone for good. But I'd say sub 45 is possible.....just! ;)

Very nice rjay! I'm very confident that someone, other than myself ;), will get a sub 45 time.

It's proving to be pretty fucking hard though. I just tried it again, using downshifting for drifting this time. Couldn't beat my old time. I'm going to give it another go soon.

Well, I improved my time and achieved my "Goal of the Day" which was to get a sub 50 time! :D Used my steering wheel this time which I think makes the game much more enjoyable! Is anyone else using one? Or better yet, is anyone using the fishing controller?
