DC To PC Server with Win2k Disaster

Well, I tried doing the DC to PC thing with Win2k and Winroute with no result. As far as configuring the PC, the only parts that go weird was configuring for the IP addy's and the fact that after I was all done, Winroute never saw a dial-up attempt from the DC. It's like it was not dialing. There's got to be a better way, hopefully Linux is the way.

I just do not get how it is so easy for a hacker from the south pole to route and do what they want with someone's PC box at the North Pole but you cannot even make a proper connection locally to you box! Windows just plain sucks (Network friendly my 'censored')! I wonder how a Mac would do?

the only version of windows that works good is windows 98/SE. some people can get other version working but most fail. try windows 98 or linux.

We are going to see if Fugach will post a Linux update. Regardless whether he posts or not, we will be doing Linux.
