Here's my score to start things off. Keep in mind that I'm the worst Mortal Kombat player in history and the score won't seem that bad.

Well I'm the process taking this new DC live comp out for a spin. I gotta say. It's damn hard! And I thought MVC survial competition was tough, this thing is far worse. Then again, I'm no MK4 expert.

Most definitely! The big difference between this and MvC is that you don't regain any of your health back after winning a match in MK Gold. So you have that one health bar to work with the entire time. It makes it much more difficult.

In part yes. But I think the other major issue is the AI which suffers from SNK boss syndrome. Right out the gate, the AI is aggressive at default level. If you play Arcade ladder on the same default difficulty, you see that the AI gradually gets more aggressive as you progress.

I believe that's because we're playing "Ultimate Endurance" mode. I think the standard Endurance mode has the same difficulty ladder as the arcade mode.

Good call. While I'm finding this particular competition a bit difficult, the truth of the matter is I'm just burnt out from out last competition. I may have overdone it. I haven't even touched Powerstone2 since the competition (perhaps the longest I've ever gone not playing the game).
