It is possible to do PC-DC with PCI modem? (Linux)

Hi guys! I am using Debian and tried to do tutorial how to connect your DC to the internet via PC but I Failed. We got the modem because our family used free dial up from very long time ago. It is possible to use it to work with my Dreamcast where I have it now?

Do you know what type of modem you have? The only PCI modems which work in linux natively that I know of are the Conexant ones. Alternatively you can use linux through vmware from windows and all modems will be supported.
