PC-DC Windows 98 PSO Issues

Ok for the past couple of days i've been trying to get a pc-dc server working.
As far as I can tell, the web browser seems to be working, but PSOv2 is giving me some issues.
I connect to sylverant using a codebreaker, and i've been able to play on a real dial up connection. Now I'm using a PC-DC server on windows 98 following this guide :http://www.dreamcast.onlineconsoles.com ... cwin98.php
What happens is that I am able to connect to sylverant, login to a ship, and start a game, but after about 5-10 minutes items stop appearing, my chat messages wont appear, and then i get the "LINE DISCONNECTED Game Over" message.
Hardware:
Windows 98 Second Edtion
Modem: Smart 90109 Agere modem (listed in windows as Lucent Win Modem)
Ethernet: 3com Fast Etherlink XL 10/100Mb TX Ethernet NIC (3C905B)
Router: At&t router (2-wire 3800hgv-b)
Using Winroute pro with all winroute ports forwarded to the dreamcast as well as the pso ports forwarded to the Win98 computer in the router
Could someone help me figure out how to fix this?
