My Dream Cast reads discs but in a weird way

Ok here goes my dream cast wont read discs with the lid fully closed, it has to be slightly open and then i have to put a stack of 3-5 cds on top. Also starting a game it sometimes goes back to the menu at least 3 times at the screen where it tells you who the games made by. Then it normally lets me carry on playing the game. Has anyone else had this issue or know how do i fix it????

Yup! Its an issue involving the lid lever located behind the GD drive. You can solve this issue by slightly shaving or cutting a small piece of the lever.

A fellow memeber here on the forums (dark) used some toenail clippers to carefilly cut off the right amount off of the small lever. He posted this process here somewhere on the forum.

Do I need to unscrew my dreamcast at all?
