spindle motor replacement ?

Hey guys, one of my DC's had the spindle motor fail on it and now every time it tries to spin up the disc it makes a horrible grinding sound. It is not the worm gear for the laser as that appears to still work fine, so I'm hoping that someone knows of a straightforward replacement option as I think I can salvage the GD-ROM.
Any help is much appreciated.

I've read that any standard 5.9v / 9v / 13v DC motor works.

i have one my laser died on mine but the motor is fine. i sold my old power supply. from my old dreamcast. and pretty much parting it out. so if you like i can send you the whole gd rom with a dead lens (probably just the ribbon cable broken). for 10 bucks if you are in the united states. its more to cover shipping and the cost of the box. let me know
