E-Mail Providers that Work with the Dreamcast?

Does anyone know of any email providers that work with the Dreamcast web browser? There used to be one called Lavabit but they discontinued the service a while back. I tried Gmail and Inbox.com but Gmail didn't work at all and Inbox.com works for receiving mail but not sending. The Dreamcast web browser doesn't support authentication with outgoing mail so it's hard to find a provider that doesn't use authentication. If anyone knows of one that works please let me know.

The easiest way to get unauthenticated SMTP would be to run your own SMTP server, but doing so might be in violation of your ISP's TOS and get you in trouble.

Yeah, I know I can do something like that but it's too much of a hassle. There must be some email provider out there that will work.

The inbox one might work but you may need to set smtp to your ISP's outgoing email server

I just tried that but it's not working. I get the same "The e-mail host is busy" error when I try to send an email.

That's a shame lava bit was forced out of business: http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2014 ... tiny-font/

Unless we can find another public mail provider I assume you would have to rent a dedicated server and run your own mail server from there.

GMX.com has been my Dreamcast email since 2010. Should still work.

Thanks for the tip rjay but it's a no go with that one too. Again, I can receive mail but I can't send. :(

Sorry to hear that PC. I set the email SMTP in my DC's browser disk to that of the dial-up ISP service I use in the UK.

POP3: pop3.gmx.com
SMTP: mail.myfreeisp.co.uk

This allows me to send and receive emails. Sadly there are only a few of these services left as dial-up is more or less obsolete.

You could always try following this guide I found:

Yeah, I saw that before but didn't really want to have to run something on my PC in order to send emails from my Dreamcast. I was hoping to find an email service that "just works". If I can't find anything then maybe I'll give that a shot.
