Help With Prioritizing

I know there are a few lists out there that list off the top whatever games, but I want something more specific. I want to know which are the FIRST games I should be going after. I finally got my DC running and I only have Gauntlet Legends, which came with it when I bought it. Before I go dishing out coin, I would like to have some kind of game plan. So shoot me your suggestion of the first game for a DC virgin, or send a list for me to play in order. Cheers boys and girls.

Peace

I guess we could all give you our fav games lists, but better let us know first what games you like (genres)

Genres don't matter. I often get stuck in certain genres and I want to break out of that.

Thanks Rad for the help.

i agree with mazonemayu. its hard to let you know specifically what games are good with out knowing your taste in games. sure we could name off a few must haves i suppose. but you might not think the same games are good because you might not like their genre.

when i first got back into Dreamcast i wanted Hydro Thunder and Sonic adventure. the reason i wanted Hydro Thunder was because i liked playing the arcade version and the Dreamcast version of it was the closest to the original. not to mention the playstation version was $25 at the time and the Dreamcast version was only $5. so instead of buying the PSX one i got a Dreamcast for $25 and the game for $5. so by spending 5 more dollars i got a better game and a whole new gaming system. so to me Hydro Thunder was a must have game. but you might not like it at all.

Gauntlet Legends is a fantastic game.

I would say if you like that, then you'll love:

Jet Set Radio (Jet Grind Radio, depending on where you're from)
Shenmue (A MUST FOR ALL DC FANS)
Soul Cailbur
Marvel Vs Capcom
South Park Rally

If you're worrying about buying a game that you aren't sure that you'll like, you can always buy some CD-R's and test them out first, then buy them.

Thanks boys for the input. I will definitely check those out. Keep the suggestions coming--assuming there may be others out there that have any that haven't been said.
