You mean the ones with the green fluffy tip? They're regionfree...

This has been discussed a couple of times before, but for future references;

All dreamcast peripherals are region-free (lightgun, vs-cable, maracas, twin stick, dc karaoke, microphone, midi cable etc etc etc).

"But how about the official SEGA light gun, it doesn't work with my copy of House of the Dead 2 (US)"
This is purely a software lock-out with US copies of House of the Dead 2 and Confidential Mission.

I asked mostly because it involves voice recognition, and I don't know if there was any difference in these accessories for English and Japanese.

Anyway, I did not know about these locks for the US versions of the shooters. This is a nice info to have.

The voice recognition software is built-in the software, not in the microphone. So using a Japanese mic with a US copy of Seaman or PAL Planet Ring won't give any problems. Hell you can even use that awesome official headset microphone of the Dreameye with all mic supported games :)

haha well one could perfectly butcher the DC kara microphone connector and make it compatible with the controller microphone adapter ;) This would make 'playing' Seaman like hosting a gameshow haha
