The map fix hex code is quite alot sry..
I just wanted to post these codes here for any1 who wants to mod their pso.exe to work on sylverant.
Yes, you could always simply download the sylverant pre-patched pso.exe's...
But, some ppl would rather patch the codes themselves from a clean pso.exe!
If any1 wants to chime in on the ???? code and explain its function...

I plan on compiling a list of codes for PSO for PC.
Hex code for pso.exe, Memory editing codes, and Packet Data...
I already have the majority of the public pso.exe codes and more.
Once I have them all compiled I will post the codes.
That is unless the pso community is opposed to me posting these codes.
Since the recent pso for pc/dc community strives for legit gameplay and all...

This is a Dreamcast forum, after all. They play the Dreamcast version, and none of them want to cheat, anyway.

It's (of course) important to note that any of these would be specific to ONE SPECIFIC revision of the pso.exe file. It'd be nice to know exactly what revision of the exe that is too, if you're going to post this.

And yes, there are multiple revisions of the pso.exe file floating around. The pre-patched ones that are floating around are a newer version of the pso.exe file than what is installed by the installer for the game.

Truth be told, I'd prefer if any sorts of cheating codes weren't floating around any more than they already are, but I have no way to (or real reason to) stop you from posting them beyond making this statement. Everyone already (or will when reading this post, of course) knows these things are floating around, so I assume that most people have judged that using them does nothing to enhance the gameplay experience and actually just degrades it.

It's also (of course) possible to use a clean version of pso.exe if you use an alternate launcher, such as my (unreleased, sorta) Sylverant PSO Launcher or the launcher made by TulioAdriano being discussed over here, that in large part uses the Sylverant PSO Launcher code.

I'm sure there's other launchers out there for clean pso.exe files too, after all these years.

I thought you were just going to PM me on here when you were ready. As for DCemulation, you're not the first person to say he didn't get an activation e-mail from there. I think they might have the same problem that SCHTServ has where only certain addresses can receive e-mail from the forum. (SCHTServ has gotten so bad that the only domain you can use to make an account is mail.com. Any other domain will not receive the activation e-mail... not that there's a reason to register on a forum for a dead server, but still.

No idea on that one, as it isn't needed for anything I've ever had to patch in pso.exe (nor is the patch for ports, which I'm not sure why you'd ever need, since every working server supports the correct ports for the game at this point).

The only thing similar that I can think of (with all those NOPs -- 0x90 on x86 == NOP) is some versions of the Vista/7/8/10 typing fix do stuff like that. Not sure if that's what it is, but that's really the only thing I can think of. That said, it is almost assuredly patching more than one function, since those offsets are in pretty different parts of the binary.

Btw I have found a few crashes that need to be patched on your server.

Well, that'd certainly need more elaboration. By crashes, I presume you mean client crashes? Please PM me with any details you might have, and I'll take a look as I get the opportunity to do so.

As for any issues with DCEmulation forum activation emails, PM me the username and email address you used to register over there, and I'll get your account activated. This goes for anyone else that's having the same issue, as well. Unfortunately, some email providers tend to think any mail originating from any sort of shared hosting is spam these days because of all the spammers have set up shop on the web.

EDIT: Never mind about PMing me. I found you pretty easily. You should be good to go now.

imo network trial is a great app for chat lobby.
