Greetings from DreamcastHaven!

Post by DreamcastHaven »

Greetings, I'm DreamcastHaven! I'm from Switzerland, I owned a Dreamcast since 1999 :D! So I may speak a little Engrish (we have to speak French :/). I actively hunt for Dreamcast hardware and software, and so far my collection (which is small :D) is 16 games and 5 controller,2 that are Millennium 2000 controllers (the gray and blue ones)! I've never been online with my Dreamcast although Ive got Chu Chu Rocket and Quake III Arena,I don't have the right DreamKey (I have DK 1.5 when I need DK 3.0)! So let's talk about my Dreamcast specs, it's a PAL (with the blue swirl) Dreamcast from 1999, it can play music CDs, It still runs like a champ (well it's been in storage for 7/8/9 years so yeah :D)! My ultimate goal is to have a nice (but not too big collection of Dreamcast stuff :D) Dreamcast collection where I can just take a game and play it! So i will like to be friends and talk about Dreamcast :D

PS: if they are any spelling mistakes please tell and if what I said is somehow offending please point it out (also this is like the first-maybe second- time i have a introduction post so it might suck a little :D)

Welcome to the forum Dreamcasthaven.
In case you have yet to check commercial games still get released for the Dreamcast and there are lots of classic games worth buying too.
Recently released games include: Stumrwind, Neo XYZ, Gunlord and The ghost blade is coming next week.
Here is a list of upcoming games http://www.hardcoregamer.com/2015/01/17 ... 15/127848/

I would highly recommend Sturmwind and gunlord both great games.

Check http://hucast.com

If your looking for a quirky old game then try Maken X. Zero gunner two japan only is awesome too.

Yes, clearly I love my dreamcast.

and now its off to bed for me.

Wow harmony of darkness actually looks nice for the Dreamcast (for an average game of course :D) so did it come out yet? Also thanks for the sites! Although like many burnt games will it destroy the laser of the Dreamcast or will it be like a legit games (you know wearing the laser slowly out)? And hey vasiliy and wrath! :D

They are all legit games and won't damage your laser. Harmony of darkness is not out yet but it's coming.
I'm itching to play the ghost blade. It will arrive at my parents place first and it will be a while before I can travel to pick it up, oh well.

Dreamcast scene and dreamcast junkyard are two good dreamcast related sites too.
