Well, me and my parents always used a service that provided telephone and internet, i used that to connect my dreamcast online and play PSO for example, well we discarded the internet service because now we use wireless and a router and somehow we now use a diferent way to use the telephone, being so the service had no use so we asked the end of the contract.
Thing is altough i have a telephone "connection thing", it has no use, the telephone doesn't work and same happens with the dreamcast.
Is this the end for online PSO? Are there any settings that can change this?

Ummm... you have no house phones?
Are your phones VOIP?
And in the back of your modem do you have a phone line or a like a tv cable going into the back?

sounds like you will need a PC-DC server now.

According to my fater my telephone uses a modem, the cable of the service we use now is connected to the modem, i don't see a way to connect exept to buy my own telephone service and pay for it.....hmmm
The pc-dc server is way to hard for me, i never tried and i don't even know if it works with wireless intenet.

that sounds like what my mom has K_I_R_E_E_K. you should still be able to use the phone service. how ever you will need to find an ISP to use it with. when my little brother connects with his DC he just unplugs the phone line from the phone and plugs it into his Dreamcast. this is all done from the cable companies phone service. i too have my phone service through my cable company and it works fine for connecting my Dreamcast online.

We don't have a telephone service anymore, it's more like a "all in 1 pack".
I will try the pc-dc server, what do i got to lose anyway

yeah i dont have telephone service anymore either. nor does my mom we both have a all in one pack as you call it. here it is known as a tripple play. we get telephone, cable television and internet all from the cable company. it is not through the phone company! anyway ours works for connecting the DC online so maybe yours will too?

Yeah it doesnt matter if you dont actually still use the phone line anymore,
You can still plug it into your dreamcast and use a free isp
The phoneline is still gonna connect its not like they cut the cable you just can't use the phone anymore but you can still connect to the internet
