i wonder if this could some how be ported to work with dreamcast in some way? any thoughts?

I want to say no because the minimal requirements are like light years ahead of what was possible back in 1998. The Dreamcast to me sits around a PC similar to it with like 48mb ram, Intel Pentium 2 266 at 267 MHz, and a graphics card just powerful enough to make Quake 3 actually playable for the most part.
