Sonic Adventure 2 iso with browser
so all the ones i could download have this removed (due to space) but could someone release a version that has not removed, and yes i know there is no space but one that say has most of the game removed so can use it only for the browser, so people can use/test the revived website on dreampipe

Re: Sonic Adventure 2 iso with browser
Actually it does not take up that much space, usually it had all the images cached on-disc. That is what took up space. The actual browser binary is only about 2-5mb
Someone would have to rip a GDI, (according to what someone from revivedc told me) hack the binary with binhack32 to point to the correct LBA address for the binary to boot the browser, download a copy of the index page/images at sonic2.dreampipe.net and replace the old index page (most games had an index page that the game loads by default, you can see this in legit disc of SA2)
All in all it would take someone about 1-2 hours to do if they knew how to do everything. I would even consider doing it if I knew what LBA to run binhack32 on. The reason I probably will not is below
I think that is better than just restoring the old web pages. And I think it will entice people to go out and actually buy the game to participate. Features are continuing to be added

(tl;dr)
Soon if you're playing Sega Marine Fishing you can watch videos, listen to audio, see who's online with Dreamcast Now!, download a save or DLC, talk with the community using console BB or chat, or browse old gamesite archive. Then go back to game. Which is better than just restoring old site. And a good enough reason to actually buy the game and a DreamPi

The website is not really "restored". I kind of abandoned restoring it because it was really just a themed place to host the VMU files, which are all on DreamPipe anyway. What is being done instead however, is redirection of all Dreamcast games with browsing features to DreamPipe. Since it's a more feature rich site than any of the game sites once wereitsthinkingstill wrote:so people can use/test the revived website on dreampipe

Re: Sonic Adventure 2 iso with browser
Though if SWIM wanted to make "DreamPipe Editions" of games with browsing features I would say go for it. I do not really want to get involved in piracy distribution
