Hi. It's easiest to burn .iso than cdi or any format usually associated with Dreamcast games but if I converted a .cdi image to .iso using AnyToIso software is that still gonna' play like normal on the Dreamcast?

Thank you. God bless. Proverbs 31

Probably not. IIRC, ISO images contain only file system information, so they lack the required track layout information to create a working Dreamcast disc.

It is easier to just burn the CDI. I use diskjuggler and it works fine. I think that IMGburn might burn CDI's too. I cannot say if the game will work converting it to an ISO. give it a try and report back to let us know. I know people use to use Nero to burn Dreamcast stuff so other formats can work, I just do not know about ISO's

Download and install 120% Alcohol http://www.alcohol-soft.com/designzoo/d ... 120fe.html

Then burn the CDI with the write method set to TAO. If it doesn't work then it's your burner. Or you have a non-selfboot CDI, or it's a really old echelon release which some of them don't work at all for me

Not every CDI is going to work

Thanks all. Usually the error is cue sheet something with the .cdi which could be a burner problem but will try alcohol.
