Will this cable work connecting my dreamcast to a new smart 55 inch uhd tv?? thanks

It will if your TV has composite inputs. You should know that even if it will work it will be a fairly poor image quality. You would be better off using a VGA box with a converter to either component or HDMI. we would not know if the cable you linked to would work without knowing what inputs it has. If it has VGA or DVI you might be able to connect the VGA bog to it without a up scaling converter box. i the case of DVI you would need the VGA to DVI plug though. check your tv to see if it has composite inputs, if yes you can at least use that cord to connect it.

These are my ports on my tv, i am in the uk and have a pal dreamcast, ideally is there something i could use with hdmi like a normal connection from the dreamcast to a converter and then hdmi to tv, thanks for any assistance, i have attached some pics of the ports on the tv.

then plug the cables into this and then hdmi to the tv???

That thing MIGHT work, but your TV should have come with a cable that looks like this:

Plug the Dreamcast cable into THAT cable and then plug it into that little YELLOW port on your TV.

Get a good scart to conponent scaler.

Hi farmhouse, when you mean the dreamcast cable do you mean this one or do you mean the one with the 3 different colours at the end

You have many HDMI ports and the best option would be VGA to HDMI. This wont be cheap compared to other options but it is the best one for your set. You will need to buy a VGA adapter for the Dreamcast and a VGA to HDMI converter for your tv. the bad news is that your tv is made for new devices and has little support for older ones such as the Dreamcast. If you use that composite or that RF adapter that you linked to it will look pretty bad on a UHD set.

Thanks Gary are you able to provide links for both on say amazon so i can buy them, i would probably buy the wrong thing, really appreciate all your help mate
