Imgburn and Dreamcast

The Dreamcast Live site offers ImgBurn 2.5.7.0. This is one version down from the latest version of ImgBurn (ImgBurn 2.5.8.0). My question is do you have to use version 2.5.7.0 for Dreamcast images, or will the latest version work?
Also, I when I try to download ImgBurn 2.5.7.0 from the Dreamcast Live website, it says that it's infected with a virus and won't let me download it. I mostly wanted to download it for the instructions.

There's no virus. Your antivirus software is giving you a false-positive. Probably because of the program I created myself which installs the Dreamcast plugin for you automatically. You should be able to tell your antivirus program to ignore it.
The latest version of ImgBurn on the other hand DOES include malware. That's why I have the older version on the site.
Edit: It's giving me that virus warning as well and it's not my antivirus software. I'll try and fix it.

Ok, I fixed the download link. Apparently it was my website host giving the false-positive so I hosted it elsewhere. I also double-checked all the files with both malware and antivirus software and they found nothing so it's definitely safe.

Sure thing. Thanks for mentioning this. I probably would never have noticed. It's odd because it was working perfectly fine previously.

The v2.5.8.0 ImgBurn has chit ? Like in installer ?
I recall just running the updater from v2.5.7.0 , also Malwarebytes hasn't flagged nothing

I downloaded it from the official website a while back and got bombarded with a bunch of random pop-ups after installing it. I had to remove it right away and use Malwarebtyes to remove a bunch of malware, adware, spyware it installed. It could have been a checkbox during the install that I didn't uncheck for some third-party program. I'm not really sure.

Can you calculate checksums of the installer? I have a 2.5.8 installer from 2014, and I don't think I got any malware when I installed it on my old PC. The checksums are:
CRC32: 00e8e0b2
MD5: 9685e1b00b7d1b31ede436bd9b12be39
SHA1: 5ca96a0c243390c378dee1a629684ea261e2cfc4
If the checksums on the current 2.5.8 installer don't match, then maybe ImgBurn updated the installer with one that has malware. If that's the case, I could send you the old one.
