Booting Phantasy Star using Terraonion MODE

I can't seem to find the info I had a few years ago now, but I remember when I was setting up PSO to work with my GDEMU there was something about booting it directly from start up of the console and not from the GDEMU menu as this would introduce bugs when taking the game online. For this reason I had PSO as the second image on my SD card so I would just hit the button on the GDEMU on boot up to launch right into the game with out any issues.

I now have a Terraonion MODE and I can't seem to figure out if has the capability of launching directly into a game w/o launching the MODE menu first. Will launching from the MODE menu create bugs when I go online with PSO, or can I launch the game from there w/o any issues?
