So I know Saturn games traditionally are not generally shared here, but this is such a huge release I couldn't help it. This really is the ultimate version we can possibly have until the game is 100% decompiled which will happen in the future once the source for the PSX version is finished. So we will absolutely get this game natively ported to other systems in the future where performance issues are not going to be a thing.

Anyways, I wanted to ask for a little help here. I have my Retro-Bit 2.4ghz Saturn Skeleton grey limited edition controller I wanted to get fully set up with this on any emulator that would work well. So these controllers have direct input and directx input you can choose from with a simple macro by holding down start and B button for a few seconds. I am having issues with Retro Arch and Yabause trying to get the dam controller detected. Amazing game and controller that would make for a more awesome experience considering I do not own a Saturn at this time.

So anybody able to share any tips or anything to try and help get this working? Not sure how many of you have the 2.4ghz pads vs the Bluetooth ones, but if anybody else out there dows and could help me with this it would be much obliged. This is literally like my dream version of this game and I just want to experience it on my PC in HD.

I run Windows 11 and RetroBit Saturn Black Original BlueTooth and basically same a part from yours being Wireless Receiver, Does it work pluggged in via USB you could try unplugging afterwards I had similar issues on Linux Machines Arch based not picking up the Controller even though connected.

You also obviously do Firmware Updates and make sure Controller is on before Run RetroArch or turn on after RetroArch is loaded can be dodgy sometimes other thing to try is to just jump between Dinput and Xinput when turning on and off Controlpads.

I also have x2 MegaDrive 8 Button Crystal Blue with Shoulder Buttons via Bluetooth same tech basically.

Currently awaiting x3 White Saturn Pro Controllers, think they 2.4GHz Wireless.

They definitely make playing more authentic and definitive especially looking forward to those new Saturn Pro Controllers like a perfect Controller for Emulation I would go with 8BitDo Pro 2 or SNPro30 as another option.

I know bit off topic just dropping couple options :D

I own both the 2.4ghz and Bluetooth versions. I haven't used them in several months but I don't recall ever having any issue. I think I used Xinput and I know I used the Beetle Saturn core. Have you tried that core? And does it function at all in Retroarch?

I did try Beetle core in Retroarch on Steam so it is limited to only a few cores I believe. But that is the only Saturn core I saw and when I tried running the iso it didn't run. I got it working on Kronos emulator though and it recognized my controller right away. Still a few glitches in this emulator but overall very happy with it.

Be nice if someone could

1. restore Japanese voices
2. restore original text scrolling
3. restore original Richter sprites
4. port over the text from the Gemini PS1 translation

to make this the truly ultimate SOTN experience
