Hey guys, so I was dicking around with my Mega CD when I went into the CD player mode to listen to the music from Sol Feace and I clicked on the option top right BELOW CD-ROM, I think its called either Memory or RAM, anyway in this menu it eludes to a cartridge memory device, you can even move memory around from Internal memory, which I had no idea the thing had (nor how to use it either!!) , or from the cart.
Has anyone ever seen one? I would love to think this is a good purchase if it even exists but I NEVER see the option to save progress on the Mega CD anywhere.
Be interested to hear peoples thoughts

Re: Mega CD Memory Cart.... WTF?
Copied from Wikipedia:
Lunar Silver Star Story is one of the games that requires the extra memory...The CD Backup RAM Cart was an external memory card the was placed in the Mega Drive slot like a normal Mega Drive game, and which the Mega-CD would detect this cartridge upon booting up. Games could either be saved directly to it (on the titles that supported it) or to copy/transfer game saves to and from the Mega-CD's internal RAM. Complete backups were possible as the CD Backup RAM Cart contained 16 times the amount of back-up RAM of the Mega-CD (1 Mbit, or 2045 Game Save Blocks, compared to the Mega-CD's 64 kbit, or 125 Game Save Blocks.)

Just looked them up on eBay and they seem a bit pricey. If you want one you should probably go with the Japanese one which seems to be cheaper.

Re: Mega CD Memory Cart.... WTF?
Better is to go with one of those multi purpose cartridges. One that makes your Mega CD both regionfree and gives you extra blocks. They sell them on the Tototek website...
