Re: PSP On Dreamcast
Dreamcast CPU: 200Mhz
PSP CPU: 333Mhz capped at 222Mhz
I know there's much more to it than that, but I'm pretty sure emulating PSP games on DC is impossible.
I'm sorry to be this blunt, but I really hope you won't be constantly making pointless threads like this one.
Or as the saying goes, a fool may ask more questions than a wise man can answer in seven years.

Yes, a port. Definitely not emulation.The-Amazing-Mr_V wrote:Wasn't 4x4 Jam from Josh Prod a PSP game?
Some games will be portable -no pun intended- but others not so much.
Those that could work would have to be ported game by game.
I don't see that happening any time soon. Or for free for that matter...

I figured as much and being so assumed the list of games that would also work on dreamcast would be rather smallkrssn wrote: Yes, a port. Definitely not emulation.

Re: PSP On Dreamcast
Yeah, but try to keep it realistic...
As much as I love the Dreamcast, but why not play PSP games on a PSP?...
They are cheap, and the small screen keeps the image crisp.
Although I have to admit, a more optimized Bleemcast! disc would be awesome.
Especially since it cleans up the image, so it has an advantage over playing them on original hardware.
I doubt it can be done though, as even the makers decided against a universal disc.
Optimized Bleemcast! discs for certain PS1 games would be nice.
Anyone know if that would be possible?...
Did the original makers release all their notes on this project?...

Re: PSP On Dreamcast
well assuming for a second it would work and run at 60FPS:
most psp games are 800+ megabytes, games below 700MB are very hard to come by and most of the games worth playing are 1.5+ gigabytes. so you'd need to also develop a custom compression format to get the games below 700MB (slows down performance with very limited system resources) OR use the serial SD card adapter, but the serial bus is very slow, so games would load very slow, and would cause audio\video issues and lag
tl;dr its a logistical and developmental nightmare to pull it off
that's the answer you should've gotten. @krssn should refrain from coming off as an asswipe to people with questions, even if i agree it is a silly question
i personally would like to see N64 emulation on Dreamcast, but nobody would take the time to do it since you can just emulate it on PC or iOS\Android already

Re: PSP On Dreamcast
I took the plunge
and Bought a very nicely produced METAL GEAR SOLID For Dreamcast.
The 3RD Disc is a BLEEM BOOT DISC. I guess that's the thing that will ask to convert a VMU to PS1 Memory.
I will upload a ISO Of all this stuff so if a guru here can somehow study the saving stuff , so we can get SILENT HILL as that's a KONAMI Game as well.
