Vmu games

Post by max4242 »

Anyone else use a vmu for some games?

I keep an extra one in the car for short trips to the store and stuff. I just turn on and play for a min or two.

I also just solder an 12 volt battery to it instead of the expensive little battery's

That blue thing on top of the 12 volt battery is just something i ripped out of an old alarm clock, it just hooks onto the top of the 12 volt and has a negative and positive wire coming off of it.

If you dont have one you could just take a 12 volt or any kind of battery (aa,aaa) and solder (or tape)wires to the positive and negitive ends and then solder(or tape) them to the right places on the vmu

I could make a tutorial or a video if anyone wants

still fits in controller to even though it take up both vmu ports

That is pretty cool, I see in that second picture, you
have something that charges the battery or something?
What is it and where did you get it? Hopefully it's not
exspensive, because my VMU batteries have been dead for
quite a while now, and I don'twant to spend the money
buying those short life exspensive steal money out of my
pocket for basically nothing batteries... :'[

In most places here those bateries are often sold at high prices, but sometimes they are really low, and since i buy them at good prices, i have already bought maybe duzens, right now i don't give much use to the vmus, i just turn them on and of so that the batery doesn't turn green inside the vmu.

nice idea and great job

use a resistor, i recomend using one.
because when you play a game, the vmu must save, turn the led on and turn the lcd screen on, so if something fails it will probably zap power from all the 3 things, from the lcd screen or the led there are no worries, but saving consumes power, if that power is short, the game wont save properly.

That is a great idea to make a tutorial for it.
Have you seen the 4mg Memory Units r know anything
about it? That would be nice to add to the tutorials.
The 4mg Memory Card comes with a serial cable.
What I don't know is, how does it link to the PC?

will try to look it up on ebay and find a resonable
price for one and link it for you. Also, you should
read up about it on wiki a little. :D
