So I just need to download the CDI from above, burn it to a CD and it will play on my Dreamcast?pcwzrd13 wrote:There's a CDI here:

It combines both the regular and DX versions into one. Although there's really no point in playing the regular version as it's the same game but with fewer maps and mechs. Kind of like PSO v1 and v2.

All the Capcom games are the same way. No keyboard support in any of them and no in-game chat. Just an on-screen keyboard in the lobby. Chatting is a chore.mistamontiel wrote:The last Dreamcast game with live play? Both GDs are measly 200 megs wuhhh.. also pcwzrd mentioned not even keyboard supported!?

Re: Someone is restoring Gundam VS Online
Update: As it turns out, there is keyboard support! Tracked down the Capcom Communication Match FAQ page and it said you need to plug the keyboard into port D. Now it works!

So I am just being slow so I'll ask. When all this is done will it REQUIRE dreampi or will you just released like a patched cdi. Just asking because I still have access to dial up but not a dreampi.

Re: Someone is restoring Gundam VS Online
It should work on real dial-up as long as you're able to use a custom DNS server. Although this particular game might be very laggy on a real dial-up connection compared to DreamPi.cloofoofoo wrote:So I am just being slow so I'll ask. With this KDDI (or Matching Service) was possible the online cross-platform gaming in early 2000s. Very interesting...
