Re: Sonic Shuffle [GDEMU]
I love this game, it's far from perfect but it's not as bad as it's slated as. Shame it can't be re-released as the gameplay mechanics of the cards couldn't work on modern consoles (except online play, perhaps). Though it would make an interesting mobile game.

Re: Sonic Shuffle [GDEMU]
I just recently decided to give this game another shot. I didn't realize Hudson had a hand in it. I rented it back in the day, but it was quite confusing and the load times were frustrating.
However playing the DCres version the load times don't seem so bad.
This is not a bad game at all. It definitely needed a bit more dev time though for some of the mechanics to be better explained and some more minigames. But for a first attempt it's good.
I will say the card mechanic with VMU is great. It adds some excellent strategy of having to plan your movements, and you can really screw over your friends.
However rings not being used to get the precious stones makes them pretty much worthless. So winning minigames doesn't help you win the game at all, instead it's always up to the luck of the cards.
And THE CPU FUCKING CHEATS. Even on easy they can be impossible to beat.
But for anyone who hasn't given the game a fair shot I say go for it - especially with friends.

Re: Sonic Shuffle [GDEMU]
I hasten to add this is one of the few titles almost impossible to emulate in multiplayer. The GameGrumps are doing a playthrough right now and it's funny, but they can't tell what's going on because they're emulating it on PC. Everyone's cards are hidden on the main screen and PCs don't use VMUs, so they can't even see their own cards.
This does work better in multiplayer. There's some minigames that are a riot in 3/4 player mode.
