Replace controller cord?

How hard is it to replace the cord on a controller? I have one of the clear red controllers and it constantly cuts in and out. The cord has a weird bend in it so I think it might be shot.

Thanks man. Sadly I don't have a replacement and the only spare I could find online doesn't have the little white plug where it connects to the controller-

I'll probably just swap it with a regular controller, might still order the spare and try to solder it to the one I take out. Been a few years since I soldered anything so not sure how that will go.
