People here don't know, but this is in fact the 3rd know GD of Half Life know to exist.

How do you know people here don't know that? The original release was never on a GDR, so you can forget that one. Only 2nd known one to my knowledge, the Katana build and this. This was the FIRST GDR we ever got our hands on. It is believed somebody at Gearbox took the latest build from a devkit and leaked the files on the net in 2003. It was never taken from a GDR so I don't know where you got your info about 3rd GDR.

If I say that 3 GD's exist you can trust me.
Oh, and Gearbox didn't program the DC version of HL it was Captivation Digital Laboratories. Gearbox only provided Captivation Digital Laboratories the assets for the port, but Gearbox did made the new models and other game assets.

What build is the 3rd one? Is it newer or older than the 2 we got now?

Yeah It was very interesting how Sierra, Captivation and Gearbox all worked together on Valves game basically.

The 3rd GD is at the middle of both. Plus I can tell you that there is another GD of HL, but this time it's contents are only multimedia.
