How do I rank up on PSO? I’m trying to figure out how to get more missions or something

If you mean how to open up more areas, you need to complete the various levels offline. There are only the four main areas, so if you already have Ruins open, then you've done all you need to offline (for the difficulty you're playing in).

If you mean more quests online, make sure you're playing in a v2 team, and you'll have all the quests that are available on the ship you're playing on. Different ships have different quests, so be sure to look at all the ships, too.

@Bluecrab, yeah I’m learning...I found some ways. I have both versions and I think I have or I am figuring it out. Playing this and other Dreamcast games has been so great!

Yeh although all the areas are always there for you via quests (exterminations and Altimira's jawdropping Prospective Horizons quest)

Opening the four stages would be beat Forest-Mine then do it again but this second F-M playthrough has a pillar that needs activating in those three stages and randomized location (still hard to miss) then the mighty Ruin is open from the get-go in freeplay when you spawn team

Each difficulty you do all that over n over again unfortunate

EDIT: Do register your account+SNAK @ Sylverant site soon so that ingame you'd just login once and /trackkills once especially for events like the one now that is in effect ^.^ And it's just freeplay

I've seen more of day+early evening teams as for late night not so sure

Also, keep in mind that if you run an actual quest, people (usually) can't join in progress. So that essentially locks down your game in most situations.
