Long time player, first time online-r

Thanks for the replies, everyone! I've been collecting more and more online games but thing is, I'm brand new to all of them. Even PSO. I logged into that the other night because I saw people on and learned that I really should wait for that keyboard to show up, and that I should struggle through some solo stuff before trying to play with people. The novelty of playing PSO on my dreamcast online with someone who was playing on a gamecube, all in 2019, is just mindblowing to me. With all the new games I'm getting, it really feels just like jumping into the Dreamcast for the first time, all those years ago. Now I just need to hone my skills and watch the schedule! i played pso online for the frst time two or three-sundays ago, at the moment i entered, i catched someone who explained me how the game worked, then i entered a game where people were really happy to see me and gived me all the help and explanations i could possibily need, then we started the game and they told me to not worry if i was weaker than them because they were here for me in case i would die.

i honestly was a little overwhelmed by all this friendliness but i discovered that the pso community it's a world on it's own, so i do bet you can play online without need to worry about everything

The importance of having a keyboard for online play can't be overstated. Not only is PSO great for chatting, but you need to be able to ask questions of other players easily to get the most out of the experience. PSO is easy to get into, but it's also fairly deep, so there's plenty to learn for a new player.

Power Stone 2 is rad. I wish they'd bring it to the Switch or something, it deserves a second chance besides that PSP port that was destined for failure because no one plays multiplayer on PSP.

OH! And the game store's lounge is pretty sweet. I rearranged it all so that certain tvs have certain systems and couches set up, and the floor Dreamcast is at the end with its own dedicated CRT and really comfy chair. We host bi-weekly 'tournament' events and our second ever was centered around power stone 2 because we happened to have a copy. One of the players came back the next morning and bought it. $110! None of our regulars or even the owner had ever played it before, just me lol.

Come August, I'm going to heavily advertise a Dreamcast night: For the 20th anniversary, it'll be all day free play on every tv (as equipement allows) with at least my own dreampi set up for some online play. I hope you guys are planning to party online that night because we're gonna party like it's 9-9-99! It's gonna be the bomb. All that and a bag of chips. If any of you are in the Seattle area, my store is in Silverdale and I welcome the company, if only for the dreamcast conversations.

I always wanted to own my own game store. Maybe someday haha. Seattle is one of the top retro gaming scenes from what I hear on the interwebs! I love checking out game shops around here in Dallas. That's pretty awesome you are advertising the dreampi! You should set one up in your store !

There are about 3 different retro game shops within 30 minutes of my home.

Unfortunately, according to their workers there's a collector/reseller/scalper who regularly goes to all of them and completely cleans them out of any Dreamcast stuff.

Yeah, every time I look, there's little in the way of Dreamcast selection other than sports games. And not even the 2K2 sports games that people love playing online! As a result, all but 2 of my Dreamcast games are from ebay.

Yeah, every time I look, there's little in the way of Dreamcast selection other than sports games. And not even the 2K2 sports games that people love playing online! As a result, all but 2 of my Dreamcast games are from ebay.

I won't be in the shop until monday, but I can take pics of the selection we have and post them here. We can totally do a sale over paypal! Our prices are store prices so a few dollars more than online, but if the owner allows it, we can cover shipping. The way we price things is pricecharting plus a shipping cost so it works out to be about the same to pick up in store as online, so our ebay sales work a little differently. But I could totally do something over paypal!
